Dr. Janine Hart, DVM

Veterinarian

Doctor Hart spent her youth on both coasts of the country, living in southern California, the San Francisco Bay area, and Long Island, New York. She was heavily involved in youth service organizations and worked with Canine Companions for Independence and the Special Olympics.

Her undergraduate degree, a B.S. in Biology, was completed through the University of La Verne with a year spent abroad in Cheltenham, England. She completed her veterinary degree at WSU. Her special interests include reproduction, behavior, and acupuncture. Dr. Hart has completed additional training in veterinary acupuncture and has really enjoyed incorporating it into patient care.

Dr. Hart lives in Longview with her husband, pets, and an occasionally revolving door of animals. Their home is lovingly overrun with cats, along with 3 dogs led by Jingle Belle, the household matriarch. The family also has fish, a bearded dragon, and chickens — including Winter, who is always trying to sneak into the house. Their home is also shared with Todd, a rescue pigeon who became part of the family after arriving at the clinic injured and unable to fly.

She also has 3 grown children and one granddaughter!

Dr. Hart and family enjoy music; singing in particular. She sings with LCC’s community choir. She enjoys travel, reading, and party games (that she can rarely get her family to play).

She has been a resident of Washington since 1995 and has been with Riverside since 1999.
