Riverside Animal Hospital's Restraint Policy

At times, animals can become fearful or aggressive in a clinic setting. There are many strange smells in the air that can confuse them and even put them on the defensive. This can cause animals to behave in ways that may seem out of character for them. Your pet may even sense emotions from you and become protective, putting you and our staff in a potentially dangerous situation. Because we have a legal obligation to maintain the safety of everyone while they are in our building, Riverside Animal Hospital requires that only our trained staff restrain your pet while any of our staff members are handling them. Our educated staff are insured should a bite or scratch occur during care. Please assist us in providing your pet with the finest care possible by allowing us to do any and all holding, handling, treatment, and restraining that is necessary while your pet is in our care. This may include physical restraint techniques, application of muzzles, and treating your pet in the room or our treatment area with only staff present. Riverside Animal Hospital always strives to provide the best care and veterinary experience for you and your pet. Your understanding in these matters will help us to quickly and safely provide the care your pet needs and deserves.

Testimonial

I started using Lillian as my vet when she was still at her home on the Westside Highway then she moved to where she is now in Kelso. I had a registered German Shepherd that got hit by a car, I took Duke to Lillian after hours and she worked with him all night trying to save him but he passed. I'll never forget how hard she tried. THE BEST!! Thanks Lillian.
